Finding Stillness: 4 week yoga & meditation series
with Natalie Schiffer
What happens when you give yourself permission to slow down and simply be still?
Join me for four weeks of gentle yoga, breath, body awareness, and meditation as we explore the experience of sitting quietly and turning inward.
Sundays: 4-5:45pm
Dates: September 20th, 27th, October 4th and October 11th
Each class will include guided body awareness, Ujjayi Pranayama and gentle spinal opening using ample propping to help gradually settle into stillness.
Returning to Sukhasana (easy seated pose) each week, we will gradually increase the time spent sitting. The series will culminate in a 15–20 minute seated meditation during the final class.
Meditation isn't about stopping your thoughts or getting somewhere. It’s about learning to be present with what is.
Small class size allows for individual attention, hands-on guidance, and adjustments to support your unique body and experience.
No meditation experience necessary. Come as you are, with curiosity and a willingness to slow down.
Please note: This is a progressive four-week series; attendance at all four classes is required. Ability to comfortably get up and down from the floor is recommended.
More on Natalie!
Natalie Schiffer began practicing yoga in 2003 and quickly discovered a passion for sharing the transformative possibilities of yoga with others. She completed over 700 hours of specialized teacher training in Svaroopa yoga and received her teaching certification in 2011. She continued her studies through advanced workshops, yoga therapy training, and deeper studies in the practice and philosophy of yoga.
With more than two decades of experience practicing and teaching yoga, Natalie brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply individualized approach to her classes.
Her teaching is grounded in an understanding of the relationship between the spine, breath, nervous system, and patterns of tension held in the body. She is particularly interested in helping students develop greater awareness of their bodies while creating the conditions for body and mind to soften, settle and find greater ease.
Natalie’s classes emphasize gentle spinal opening, breath awareness, conscious movement, and guided body awareness. She uses props, variations, and careful attention to each student’s experience to make the practices accessible and supportive for a wide range of bodies and abilities.
After a decade away from teaching, Natalie returned to the classroom with a renewed perspective on yoga, embodiment, and the many ways our practice evolves with us overtime. Her teaching continues to evolve through her own practice, ongoing study, and years of working with students. She is especially interested in the quieter dimensions of yoga by cultivating awareness, learning to be present, and exploring the transition from movement into stillness and meditation.
Natalie offers group classes and private sessions, creating a supportive environment for students who are seeking greater ease in their bodies, relief from tension, deeper relaxation, or a more meaningful connection with themselves through yoga.
