2022 certified Death Doula

White Pine Wellness started in 2019 from a pretty simple place: I wanted to create something Rhode Island didn’t really have. A space where healing wasn’t rushed, wasn’t performative, and wasn’t just about “relaxing”… but was actually rooted in real medicine.

After years in the yoga world as a teacher and studio co-owner, I began to see the difference between inspiration and treatment. Both have value. But I kept feeling pulled toward something deeper. Something more structured, lineage-based and clinically sound.

That’s what led me fully into Traditional Thai Medicine.

Thai Medicine (and massage) is a 2,500+ year-old healthcare system. It’s not spa work. It’s not symptom chasing. It’s pattern recognition. It’s assessment. It’s understanding how someone’s daily habits, nervous system, structure, and history are all interacting and then working with that intelligently.

I’ve been in the holistic field for over 20 years, with more than 1,000 hours of yoga training, years of teaching Thai Massage and Thai Medicine, Reiki Master training and ongoing continuing education in anatomy, fascia, and nervous system function. I’m also an NCBTMB-approved continuing education provider for Licensed Massage Therapists and a Certified Death Doula offering bedside and grief support.

For the last decade, I’ve traveled to Thailand regularly to study within the culture that holds this medicine. My time studying with Dr. Nooy especially shifted my work. Her clinical lens of really looking at the body, understanding root patterns, and applying techniques with precision now deepened the way I assess and treat.

That mentorship continues to help refine my approach into something that blends tradition with clear, grounded application for modern bodies dealing with chronic tension, stress, injury, and overload.

Oh, I’m also a full-time musician and vocalist. Devotion, rhythm, and discipline weave through everything I do.. whether I’m on stage or working with someone on the mat.

White Pine isn’t about fixing people. It’s about working collaboratively. It’s about slowing down enough to actually see what’s happening in a body. It’s about practicing medicine in a way that feels both ancient and very practical.

That’s the heart of it.
