Thai Abdominal Massage
August 20, 21, 27, 28 from 9-1pm
About the Course..
Join us!The abdomen is the center of the body- structurally, energetically, and emotionally.
In Thai Medicine, it is often considered the root of imbalance and the gateway to profound healing.
If the gut is stagnant, compressed, inflamed, or energetically blocked, the entire system is affected.
This 16-hour training is designed for Licensed Massage Therapists, bodyworkers, and Thai Massage practitioners who want to confidently and skillfully work with the abdominal region through the lens of traditional Thai medicine.
Most of the issues we experience like digestive disturbances, low back pain, hip restriction, hormonal imbalance, fatigue, anxiety, immune challenges can all be traced back to dysfunction within the abdominal cavity. Yet this area is often overlooked or treated superficially.
When we learn to listen to the abdomen with our hands, we begin to understand the deeper story of the body.
In this training, you will learn:
Detailed anatomy of the abdominal organs and their functions
How to palpate and understand different tissue layers
Techniques to safely and effectively mobilize the organs
How to apply traditional Thai herbal balls for therapeutic support
Contraindications and when not to treat
Supportive herbs, oils, foods, and lifestyle practices for long-term gut health
This work has been profoundly impactful in my own practice.
Time and time again, clients report not only digestive relief, but improvements in breathing, posture, emotional regulation, menstrual health, and overall vitality. When the abdomen softens and begins to move freely, the entire body reorganizes.
Beyond technique,
this training empowers you and your clients with knowledge. When we understand how the organs function how they should feel, move and respond we are no longer disconnected from our internal landscape. We become better advocates for our health. We recognize early signs of imbalance. We know when to refer out. And we gain practical tools to support healing before issues become chronic.
Abdominal work is intimate, intelligent, and deeply transformative. It invites us to work at the core… not just of the body, but of the person.
Please note: This training does not include prenatal abdominal massage.
Included is a manual, certificate and 16 CEU credits through NCBTMB
